Finally got through getting this baby to where I want it.
- Ditched the ugly satin chrome Sperzel tuners. Replaced with a set of new shiny chrome ones, to match the rest of the hardware. (...Why do manufacturers even use that crapola satin s**t anymore? It's like they don't even know that Sperzel has had the traditional chrome/gold versions for years, now.)
- Also swapped out the pickups for a set of new zebra Duncans. A Custom in the bridge and a '59 in the neck. My Orange Charvie has a Custom in it. And I very much dig it there, so that didn't take much convincing, guys. But, let me tell you, as much as I love it in alder, it is abolutely HUGE in mahogany. I was pretty amazed at the difference. Highly recommended for you LP freaks. ...And volume pots have been replaced, now, too.
Enjoy...
