Thanks Budman. I noticed that the binding is on the side instead of the top of the fretboard. Does anyone have pics of a maple fretboard with binding that is on the upper side edges of the board. I think that the Floyd Les Pauls that Lee Garver was selling a while ago had this.

Not quite sure I understand what you mean there - The installation of the binding on Dave's guitar looks pretty much like all other neck binding I've seen.....
