    Re: Epiphone les pauls?

I thought my Epi Zakk Wylde was a great guitar. The build quality seemed great...it really seemed like a high end guitar. And the graphic was awesome.

I wouldn't have sold it if I didn't need money for another GMP.

as far as i can tell the only epiphone worth having is that pinkburst JJ French model. Can't you just get a studio or something?

i dunno les pauls are a dumb shape like its awkward to play high up. and since i've gotten a floyd rose i can never go back to a fixed bridge.

I had an Epi LP... changed the tuners.. still didnt like it..dumped it pretty quick.

Recently got a Dean Hardtail Standard for almost the same price... wow. this is what an Epi LP SHOULD be.

The only current Epiphone LP I like is the Custom, but for only about $150 more you can get a Gibson LP Special with the humbuckers. My brother recently got one of the Specials in the Worn Ebony finish and I love it. If you don't mind getting used, you may want to look for an Epiphone Genesis (made '79 to '81). Solid construction but you may have to swap out the pickups.
