Opinion of Ibanez Custom Shop USA guitars?

Does anyone own one of these? I'm looking at an early 90's model custom shop edition with wizard neck. I understand a little bit of their history that they really didn't manufacture these guitars in the USA, just assembled parts a la cart style so how does their quality compare with a USA Jackson?

I had a USRG30. Good guitar, if you like the necks. I wasnt happy with the pickups, but thats easy enough to change...........

I thought that John (jgcable) had one or two of these at one time. If I remember correctly, he raved about them. But, I would ask him just to be sure.

I had one back in around 91-92. It was a USA custom. Trans fuscia quilt top. It was, if I remember around a $1500 guitar. I didn't like the pickups, and it had a 24 fret neck so it eventually went down the pike. Actually, it was part of the trade I made for the '63 Strat. It was beautiful and played very nicely, just not my cup of tea.
