i've owned a couple of the ibanez usa custom guitars and they were all very nice guitars...it's easily worth the price that is on it now if it's in decent shape...d.m.
It's a good deal where it is. Playing wise, it's going to be very similar to an RG7xx series guitar, with a bound rosewood fretboard. Those are the nicest of the oldschool Ibanez necks, IMHO.
Sadly, I emailed the guy 2 days ago with some basic questions and he hasn't replied. I know he has a 100% feedback rating but I'm a stickler for fast communication...esp. on something like this where a lot of money is about to be spent.
that guitar has a super thin neck, with a repaired crack in it, and holes through for the locknut. I would run the other way as fast as possible.
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives
personally 400 for a neck repaired custom was a bit risky IMO.
I kinda kick myself for passing over a couple at 400 that were nice, but they are basically like the RG7xx series. I already have enough. I've never had a scarf joint on any of my Ibanezs crack-ever. Can't imagine what kind of strain would cause it other than harsh impact or fall while inside a case.
