I just bought a "like New" Ibanez RG421 in Blue metal flake with an Ibanez hardshell case in very good condition also. Well, this is my first Ibanez, and really didn`t know what to expect, but I must say, this is a very nice guitar for the money. Love the body shape, the headstock shape is pretty neutral, that`s cool, the stock pickups sound very good, easy to play the Wizard 2 neck, any thinner and I wouldn`t like it, but it is just thick enough. Plays like butter man!! Looked it over, no flaws. The only 2 things, that are kinda cheap, are the tuners and the nut, both of with can be changed. The hardware color is super cool, sort of chrome, sort of black, sorta mixed of the 2, I like it. all in all, I am very happy with this guitar so far. I like the strat type bridge, but the saddle hights nead adjusted for sure, never messed with one of these type bridges before, I beleive I will let a Tech do it. Anyone else like these guitars? I for one, can`t beleive they discontinued these things, what was Ibanez thinking? Jack.

Re: Ibanex RG421
Hi bro, thanks for amost awsome guitar!! Yes Sir, they still make the 321, made in Indonesia, almost bought one, until you rode in to say me I can`t thank you enough for selling me such an awsome guitar!! This is a real keeper for sure and now I have a very cool, hardtail bolt-on, and working on my next next Jackson Soloist CS, should be done in the early spring or late winter. Last, will be some heavy duty all mahogany set neck guitar, maybe a Hamer Studio Custom, well they have a maple cap, but that`s cool. Jack.

Re: Ibanex RG421
Jack, I upgraded mine with a teflon/graphite nut from Graphtech.bc.ca
From thre I put on Auto trim lockign tuners from Planet Waves, and then from THERE I put in a Duncan Custom, and...
Blammo, great guitar......
Call up MArty at graphtech and he can hook u up with the right nut, and they arent even that expensive.
