I dont hear much talk anymore about Wolfgangs around here, which is cool, cause that means more for me! I love em, they damn near play themselves. Run one through a 5150, and you have EVH all day.....Great guitars IMHO.

The special is the flat top with the volume only.

Wolfies Kill, although I didn't care for my old USA special thru my 5150, Just didn't have that EVH vibe for me

They are my favorite playing guitars. I always played better on a Wolfgang. If I had to choose only 1 guitar to own period.. it would be a Wolfgang.

It's strange, but I've never liked those guitars. I don't know why, because lots of people whom I respect dig them, but...every one i've played has left me very non-plussed. And I think they're ugly. With a capital "U"!

I know lots of people like them because they are making a profit on the used market with them, though...

I waited 18 months for my flame top Wolfie back in '97. The order took that long and almost cancelled it. When I finally got it, I played it for awhile being impressed with it's balance while standing and nice harmonics. Sitting is another story.
In 2004, I discovered Jackson's and none of my other guitars get played anymore including the Wolfie [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] Yea, and it does kind of have a weird shape (kinda Ugly), now that you mentioned Chuck.

I have one Wolfie Special (rosewood board) and one EBMM (Morse). Love 'em both.

Those Wolfies have got to be the fastest playing guitars in the world. The Petrucci is pretty close.

I love my Wolfie (black US Special male top). Only thing is, the pickups just seem a little too bright for me. I might go with a Custom-Custom/A2P combo in there. Smooth out the tone with some A2 magnets, ya know. Either way, they do play wonderfully.
