  • Sadowsky Stratocasters

Does anyone here have one, or has anyone spent any time on one? I've played the basses, and they are outstanding. But I'm thinking of getting a Sadowsly Strat, and the price would necessitate my moving a lot of equipment to get it paid. I've made an appointment to go see the particular guitar that caught my eye, and I'm speaking with my buddy Norio Imai of Imai Guitars tomorrow about them (Norio worked at Sadowsky for 11 years, and is the best tech in NYC). But....do any of you guys have any experience with them, and how they compare with other top shelf custom guitars?

I played one at a guitar show a little less than 2 years ago. It was a very nice guitar...reminded me alot of my Anderson Classic but had vintage style pickups and was a bit heavier (my Anderson is hollow and has their SD series stacked 'buckers). You can't go wrong here if you really like it...very well made guitars from the example that I saw/played.

Sleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.

years ago they were warmoth parts, i dont know if they still are. but even back then they were very expensive. i know someone that had one yrs ago & when he found out it was warmoth, he was less than happy. IIRC he returned it & got a REAL custom made guitar a Pensa Suhr.

I think the Warmoth days ended in the early 90's. I wasn't really looking for a guitar, but one seems to have found me. Particular guitars make me nutty, so I may have to get it no matter. I love Rudy Pensa's work, and John Suhr's as well. I just wanted to know if anyone had played one recently, as they likely sell 19 basses for every Strat they sell.
