I just scored an Ibanez RG 570 body complete with trem/pups/knobs and even the tuners for $50. The guitar took a fall which broke the neck and put a small dent in the body. I wanted something to work on as a project so I wasn't concerned with the finish. Any thoughts on this guitar? What price range did they sell in brand new cond.? Any good suggestions for a neck?

Re: How\'d I do? Ibanez RG 570
It has the offset neck bolts so I guess it's what you called the AANJ. There is no neck plate. The date stamp on the neck pocket is 2000. It also is the H-S-H pup config with V8, S1, and V7 pups respectively. I might try to refinish it since the fall caused cracking of the paint in one area.E = Fb

I own a RG 570 and pro-fusion is right on, it chips horribly. I don't mind because I paid 125 for mine I believe. There's another one for sale dirt cheap with a hsc I'm trying to get my friend to buy but he's too cheap
Really an amazing guitar for the money.

The paint on those things is atrocious--you look at them wrong and the paint chips on the edges of the body.

That is 100% true!
