I got this from Keith last month and it has nearly reached completion. What do you think?

Thanx Guys - yup, I did all the work myself. Looks great from 1 feet away - any closer and you can see the swirls. I'm gonna re-polish in a few after after the nitro has a little more time to cure. All the hardware was just placed on - will wait a while before I actually screw anthing in.

Looks awesome. That wasn't the LP that was busted into a million pieces was it?

Yup - this was the dumpster special. Isn't it amazing what some scotchtape, bubble gum and spraypaint can do???

I can't believe the finish came out so good. Who would have ever thought that you could buff out a crayon finish!
What type of zebra's are in there?

How well will it intonate since it has been hacked through?

Nice job on the color. Looks really good!

Re: A Gibson Les Paul Reborn

Thanx again guys. The pickups are some GFS that I bought off ebay. These are supposed to be Hot PAF's, kind of like a Texas Special Rio, but I won't know until I wire it up. I just know that the pickups NEED to be either zebra or double creme. Maybe I'll just hook up the neck pickup for setup sake and to see if the "throaty woman tone" comes thru!!! Very cool, nice to see someone finally adopted that poor guitar. Can't wait to see it done.
