Re: What\'s the easiest/effortless playing guitar..

No shit, I have owned close to 200 guitars in my time, but the easiest to play and a guitar that didn`t break the bank has more mojo and easy playing it`s silly:

    Ibanez RG421

The Wizard 2 neck is silly smooth and perfectly shaped. This guitar plays so easily, I am looking for a 2nd one, and I rarely want 2 of the same model.

2nd would be a Gibson LP Standard

3rd would be a Jackson USA Soloist(current neck profile)

    Jack.

This is sad to say being the Jackson USA RR hound that I am, but my 1976 LTD Edition Explorer rules hands down, with my 81 V and early 90's LP Custom right behind. Maybe it's the scale length, or the stop bar/tom setup on the Gibsons? I don't know.

my best playing guitars are my wolfgangs... a pat pending standard and a flametop special. The necks are arrow straight, perfect frets and the neck carve is PERFECT for my hands.

A Grosh with the 1-5/8" medium roundback neck profile. I also think the HM Strat and PRS McCarty are pretty comfortable, too, but the Grosh wins with the neck shape and fret work.

              Haha, my RG550's!

I got a 1987 one in Black with a Rosewood board, $100 at a pawnshop.

I also have a 1992 RG550DX in Lazer Blue, with a maple board.

Both play better than anything else Ive EVER played.

I have a friend whom I went pawnshopping with and we found a 1992 RG550 Guitar Center special edition for $100. It looks like it fell out of a truck, and after alot of fret polisihing, rosewood treating, and removing all the rust from the tremolo, and a slip of sandpaper down the back of the neck several times to satin up the glossy finish, and a groovy neon green/orange spraypaint paint job,

we had a goofy $100 Ibanez that smokes anything we've ever played EVER. No joke, its a beast, and they SOUND GREAT too, regardless of neck thickness.

JAck, consider an RGt42 for yourself. I got one with the blocked bridge, and its a great axe, and can be had for VERY cheap. NEckthru, Wizard 2 profile, might be right up your alley.

Carvin DC400 I found in a local shop and it just felt right from day 1.

Yeah I'd put my votes in for either my GMW star, or this Ibanez RG 550 I had. Smoking guitar.

MY SL 2s and axis. But my dream guitar is a black LP Custom.

The best playing/best guitar I've played is this used Les Paul Custom we had at work that was made in like 2002. It sounded, played, and felt awesome...it was as close to a perfect guitar as I've ever played. I wish I'd bought it.

Obviously... many of you have never played a Rickenbacker guitar. They practically play themselves. Even the 12 string versions.

The GMW in the avatar, my '89 KV and SD 2900 play rather nice.
