I just got my hands on this model 612a it's my second one, anybody remember these I would love to get a hold of the Rick Emmet model 1220A neck thru these things play awsome.
Dude, I had a 1220A and it was killer. The wiggle stick wasn't the best, it was some kind of Yammie design, but it played great and sounded just killer. Super fast guitars.
You will be seeing something very similar to this headstock on the new GMW guitars. The early versions I saw were damn close to the RGX series....maybe Lee has changed them since.

I had a couple of these, including the RGX 1220 (or whatever the pre-Emmett neck thru was.) They were damn nice guitars for the money, except for the trem sucking.
Division - American Metal that doesn't suck. Much. Even on Facebook.
My first electric guitar when i was 7 was a RGX 110, regular bridge one humbucker and 24 frets, it still plays really well and it was the bottom of the line, I hung out with the guys from Firebox a couple months ago and their guitarist plays Yamaha guitars, so does Billy Sheehan.
The 1220A is ultimately what I want to get my hands on it's the same as the 612A here only neck thru. I have only seen 1 on Ebay ever it sold for 800 bucks damaged.
Hey, I got one! Ok, its just an RGX 220, but its cool. 24.75 scale and a wide flat neck. Decent guitar. The trem sucks and the bar and lock down clamps are like hens teeth. I had a red one too but sold it on ebay a few years back. Not a bad looking headstock either!
Carbuff yours has the earlier japanese bridge, The model I got has the Emg designed active / pre amp system in it with Khaler designed bridge it's kinda around the 500 series they started this. Made a big differince especially the bridge!
i had an RGX 211 in the late 80's. i LOVED that guitar. it had a mahogany neck and body. i recently bought a used RGX 211 from e-bay, but it was a model that had a maple neck. it doesn't sound the way i remember the other one sounding, but it does play great!!
GEAR:
some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!
some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!
and finally....
i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!
in the following of "I had a ..".. well, I did, an RGX421 Pro which I got cheap from Ebay GE.. don't know why I sold that, it was a very good guitar for the money spent
