  • It's "New Guitar Time" again.

I've been eyeballing the Fender Made In Mexico double humbucker Standard Strat for over a year now. I want the white finish with black pickguard, pickups, etc. I saw them going for $369.99 in MF. I was thinking about dropping in a TB-4 JB and SH-2 and a 5 way blade switch to have that split bucker option. I would use it for all my 70's, 80's, Southern Rock stuff. Another one that has caught my eye is that Schecter Damien 7. It's like $399.99. I would like a 7 string, but I never hang onto them for very long. Another one is the OLP double neck 12/6. It also $399.99 That would give me some killer diversity.

Anybody here can give me some advise?

I have a black MIM standard strat, originally SSS w/ white pickguard but I have HSS with a mirror pickguard now. I'd never sell it, not that it's worth anything used anyway. Its tone, feel, and playability belie its humble roots. It nicer than some USA strats I have played. Some of that may be set-up/new guitar related (I hate how new guitars play, new strings are bad enough), but if I blocked out the logo you'd never know.
