Schecter and ESP are two totally separate companies that are owned by an individual in Japan. They are run separately from each other, but just happen to hit the same market demographic.

I played the C1AE, which I though was a very nice guitar. The fit and finish was excellent, but some setup still had to be done. The piezo was killer but the DD's were kind of lame and it would be a major hassle to change them out since it's an archtop. I think this is one of their most expensive guitars and they should have put real Duncans in it. I would have probably walked out of the store with it if it did have true Duncans.

I wish stores around here would carry Schecters... you gotta love a brand that has so many string-thru models! [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
And lots of mahogany.
Hopefully one day I can try one out.

There is a big arguement about tone, vs set vs bolt vs neck through. I'm sure there is a difference, I mean, you change the construction of the instrument, it will be different.

So far, it's mainly a personal preference, that I like neck through more, however, I own many non-neck through guitars, that get a lot of play.
