        Re: Kramers

They are nice guitars. The thing to understand is that they are ESP parts and not made in America even though they say American on them. If the headstock says American after Kramer then they are the "American" ones. If there is nothing after the Kramer logo then they are the "F" series (ie: F-1000, F-2000, etc.) and are the newer versions/replacement for the Focus series. If they are "F" guitars $250 would be my absolute limit and only if it is a "must have" player.

The "Pink" one I think is a Pacer Deluxe. (can't tell for sure by the pic) I've got one just like it. Remember the Video for Winger's "17", that's the same guitar with the same type of paint job. It changes in the light though his was blue, this one changes from red to purple.

I like it. It's a different feel from Charvel or Jackson. The neck is a smidge wider. Overall, it's a good guitar.

I have no idea what the 2nd one is, I can't see the pic.

            Tekky

            Thanks!

The other one is a White one w/ black pickguard. Different Kramer Logo on the headstock the diminishing one like yours......
I think from the year after.

I like a wider neck I have big clumsy fingers.

Is it worth $250 if it is reallly an "American" ?

              Re: Kramers

It's not. I believe anything labeled "American" is made by ESP. I know the "diminishing Kramer" logo'd ones are defintely made by ESP. 250, if it's in good condition is a decent price. I'd say they're about on par with the Import Charvels. I found mine in a pawn shop in great condition for a steal.

What logo does the other one have? (office is blocking that other picture, maybe if you send it to me in e-mail - [email protected])

                Re: Kramers

If I remember my Kramer stuff...to me the biggest difference is the narrow nut. 1 5/8" compared to 1 11/16" on a Model Series Charvel. The neck is definately a bit fatter as well.

Also, If I remember correctly, the block letter "KRAMER" with American after it is a USA guitar. The diminished "KRAMER" is a Jap ESP guitar put together in the U.S.

Also make sure the pups are Seymour Duncans. The no-name pups they used were pretty weak IMHO.

$250 is a decent price. The hardware alone is worth almost that much.

                      Re: Kramers

Kramer Pacer Deluxes usually go for about $300 on ebay so I would say its a good price, especially with the cases are original. Kramer cases are hard to come by.
                      Damn, I love this Interweb.
