• Come, sail away on the BTB007 guitar journey...

Well, I officially gave up on playing electric guitar this summer. I now own zero electrics and only one acoustic. Here are most of the guitars I've been though since early 2003. There are a few guitars that I owned that the pictures are on my old computer in my garage which I need to retrieve.
    Enjoy!
    2003 Ibanez RG1570-RB

    2003 Ibanez RGT42-FMDR

    2002 Ibanez RG3120-TW

    2004 Ibanez SZ520QM-BB

    2002 Ibanez Jem7V-DBK

    2002 Ibanez Jem7V-SBL

    2003 Ibanez Jem77-FP 15th Anniversary

    Ibanez Jem2KDNA #38/300

    2003 Jackson PC-1 Red Rum

    2004 Jackson SLSMG-EDS

1996 Gibson Les Paul Classic Goldtop

    2001 PRS Custom 24

    Takamine LTD-2003

    Takamine LTD-2004

    2004 Takamine TF250-SMC

    2003 Takamine EG523-SC

    2004 Taylor 110

Not pictured, 2002 Jackson PC-1 Rootbeer, 2003 Jackson DK2-EDS, 2000 Fender American Stratocaster, and a Fernandes H-65 Vertigo.

And, here is my only guitar I own right now, which I happen to love very much and will never sell!

    Ibanez EP-7 Euphoria

I'm very happy that my journey is over. Oh, I do plan on buying an Ibanez Jem7VWH in a few years, but no hurry...

Cool guitars. Why did you give up on electrics?

Brian - very nice guitar collection, but you know that you will come back to the dark side in the future. Do you like the Euphoria? How does it play? Like a Jem, only acoustic?

Just ask HuntinDoug, I suck! Seriously, about 10 years ago, when I had time to practice, I got to the point where I thought I was pretty good. But, now with two young girls, I have no time to play. When they get a little older, I'll get another electric.

Thanks Pete. Yep, I'll be back sooner or later.
I really have been enjoying the Euphoria. It actually sounds really good acoustically, which counters everything I read about them. And, of course plugged in, it is really killer. The neck feels a little beefier than a Jem, but not anything like a regular acoustic. I still need to tinker with the action as it needs to be closer to like 2.5mm at the 24th fret.

Wow... 24 frets on an acoustic. What will they think of next, 36??? Stay on the boards, though...

I didn't know the EP7 had 24 frets! I'd love to try one of those, but there are no dealers carrying them in my area.

Your collection was beautiful (especially the Jems and the RG3120). It's too bad you didn't keep one Jem, but as you say, you can always get another. It was fun browsing through your collection. Thanks for posting this.

Wow, some great guitars! Well, like everyones said you can only come back later. Time to enjoy your family and children. You only have them for a short time. Yea, keep on the boards though. You don't want to miss us folks

Woah. You had a h65 vertigo?
                  I cannot find these anywhere!
I heard there was an h75 too?

I had the same problem and one place totally refused to even order one!
The only electric I wish I still had was the 3120...

That is very interesting. What was it that made you like the 3120 the best? I've been thinking of getting one myself, though the recent price increase, pickup switch, and move away from off-center dot inlays is making me hesitate. (I do really like the new Dark Amber color, though). How does the 3120 neck compare to a Jem 7VWH? I love thin necks, and while I love my 7VWH, I like the (thinner) Super Wizard neck on my RG520 even better. If the 3120 had a neck like the Super Wizard, I'd probably go for one.

Yeah, I actually got it because Balsac played one. It was an absolute tone machine, body and neck was all mahogany. At least mine wasn't pink like Balsac's was, I had a green one.

Nice collection. Just curious.. what do your 2 young daughters do to prohibit you from playing electric guitar?
I have 3 kids and I have never missed a beat. When my kids were all toddlers and younger I actually had band rehearsal at my house once a week. Just curious. Your reponse could be a public service announcement for the JCF bro's out there who think they can have their cake and eat it too after they are married! BTW... beautiful selection of Jems. Awesome.
