Want to find: images of crappy guitars

I am trying to figure out what my first guitar actually was. Unfortunately I smashed it in the street in front of my house when I got a decent guitar.

Do you guys know of a website - or collection of info on crappy 1960s-early 70s import guitars? I mean the nasty ones!

I think mine was kinda like this one in the pic below (the headstock at least). Probably late 1960s, lame brown finish - solid wood, plastic fretboard, weird single coils and a chrome metal pickguards with two? single coils. Body was kinda shaped like this ibanez thing too.

It did not have a bunch of switches like this, but some of the craptacular lines were the same on the body and neck.

My bandmate in high school had a guitar similar to the one pictured above, only it featured more switches, 60s toilet seat cover-like plastic finish, and a chrome coil spring mounted between the body and the whammy bar. I forget what kind it was. Fortunately, he was the singer and didn't play anything, and when he later started to play some rhythm parts he bought a Mockingbird.

My early guitar had switches too....it was a Hagstrom. Perhaps yours was too?!

I've got a cool 80's pic of me and my little bro standing next to my 66 Chevelle. He's holding a tiny EVH toy guitar I made him and I have my crappy Squier Bullet. My first axe. It was under $200 and I had to get mom to co-sign and I made payments on it with my equally crappy dishwasher job [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] Nowdays I see kids walk into music store and buy nicer Ibanez's, PRS', and LTD's like it's no problem.

Hey, after looking around, I think my old junker was a guyatone of some sort. I had that, a Rheem amp and a Dallas Arbiter Wah-Face - all long gone.
I was trying to get some heavy 80s tone - this was not the gear for it! [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
