WHY, GOD, WHY am I the ONLY one who has to pay these friggin' taxes?

All the American dudes that I've talked to that have received stuff from Japan have NEVER paid any extra fees. EVERYTHING lately that I receive from out of Canada ALWAYS gets hit.

I am SOOOOOO moving to the USA one day and smuggling back a bunch of American guitars... and then off to Japan to get a bunch more Edwards and to embrace their bizarre sexual culture. Re: My Edwards LPC Story

Right on my man. Fortunately, the seller described the guitar as, "Electric guitar sent for repairs" with a declared value of $300 on the customs label, so I only had to pay like $44 taxes. I'm forever known as the JCFer who paid the MOST for his Edwards.

Which model is yours? I can't find it on http://www.espguitars.net/ since those pickups don't look stock and you're "missing" a pickguard.

Honestly, I dont know. I know the neck pickup is changed. (was described so in the auction) There was never a guard on the guitar either.
Im trying to figger it out. It has a Navigator Truss rod cover on it as well. Maybe an Older Edwards???

Re: My Edwards LPC Story

Alrighty, I can almost guarantee you that it is an Edwards E-LP-85CD from their Original Series.

http://www.espguitars.co.jp/edwards/...E-LP-85CD.html

Two other JCFers (veliyasin and Model 88) both had E-LP-85CD John Sykes models. Mine is an E-LP-90-LTC from the Lacquer Top Series:

http://www.espguitars.co.jp/edwards/...-LP-90LTC.html

There was never a pickguard? Are there pickguard holes (one below the upmost frets and one where your leg would go if you sat down to play the Les Paul shape)?

The Navigator truss rod cover is most likely an add-on. The ESP/Navigator is separate from ESP/Edwards... sort of. Different quality and different models between the two. It's kind of like putting a Porsche emblem on a Volkswagen.

That seller you bought it from is one of the most trusted Japanese sellers of these lawsuit guitars and is always on my recommend-to-others list when they seek out these kinds of guitars. Nice Ebay username you have too.

Re: My Edwards LPC Story

Correct, Never a Pickguard. Thats the guitar I thought looked the closest, but in white it has covers and a guard. (The JB never had a cover and their are No pickguard Holes)
the Trussrod cover says "by navigator"
i dunno.........

Re: My Edwards LPC Story

It just occurred to me that the picture ESPguitars.net has for the white E-LP-85CD is wrong. They accidentally put a picture of the white E-LP-90LTC there.

If you look at the black E-LP-85CD, you'll see zebra pickups and no pickguard. The white one SHOULD be the same as the black one, except white. Yet the white picture shows gold-covered pickups and a pickguard.

So because you have no pickguard, and a zebra bridge Duncan, you 99% have an E-LP-85CD that has a swapped "By Navigator" truss rod cover. But that's okay, because mine also came with a cool "upgraded" truss rod cover, courtesy of the seller...

You're welcome! It also looks like yours doesn't have a serial number either. Some of them do, some of them don't. Pretend like you own a pre-serialized Charvel or something. Just kidding.

No, I don't sit here pretending I have something pre-pro... *hugging my LPC tightly with my life*
