Score! Buddy Guy Strat

I won a Polka dot Buddy Guy Strat and it came yesterday. I've lusted after one of these for a while and saw a brand new one on Ebay for a great price.

The neck on this thing is FANTASTIC. It's a soft V shape and it was immediately comfortable. Great satin finish. Very nice maple grain figuring too.

The body finish is fantastic. It rings great acoustically.

When I won the auction I went ahead and ordered the electronics for it that are used in the USA version - Lace Sensor Gold pickups and the Clapton 25db mid boost circuit with TBX control.

The only bummer is that the stock neck pickup arrived DOA - I haven't opened it up to see what's up - not that I care a lot since I'm swapping them anyhow.

i've always wanted to use one of those bodies for a custom build and stick a floyd on it hehehehe.

Wow, this is a great guitar. I opened it up and did some highly scientific "jiggling" and the neck pickup works now. Go figure.

Tim, these are great guitars with awesome full necks. I brought one with me to the Bahamas last year, but it was the black dots on white...I know where it is if you get the hankering to fill out the collection.....
