  • Any BC Rich experts? Identify this guitar...

I saw a BC Rich Warlock at a local pawn shop for $270. I cant identify the model though, so Ill describe it.

Its black, white body binding, white neck binding, what looks to be an Ebony fretboard (could be wrong, it was inside a case so I couldnt tell for sure) with NO inlays. Any idea what model it could be? The no inlays is what got me, cant find any info on what it might be or if its a good deal or not.

Ok after searching on eBay, this is the exact guitar: BC Rich on eBay

So should I scoop it up or is that just an ok price? I could probably get em down to $250 or so.

Based on your description of the white body/neck binding and no inlays, this appears to be a NJ Supreme Warlock.

There are 3 reviews of this on Harmony-central... CLICK HERE ...and they paid between $450-$500 (although that was probably purchased new).

Note that you mention ebony and two of the reviews mention ebony fingerboard, however the ebay link you provided definitely looks rosewood. I have a NJ ASM with speedloader and ebony, so I know that BC Rich can do ebony with NJ series.

I'd say if you like it and its ebony fingerboard then the $250-$270 would be a reasonable price!

man, i'd love to have a black or white flat topped warlock with binding. that's the only way to do a warlock, imo.

BTW, the first NJ series guitars were very good for what they were (they were imported in the 80s). That looks newer to me so?

Eh Im probably gonna pass on it... if it was around $200 Id consider it, but I dont really have the extra money to throw away right now anyway.
