This used PRS was at the local store for awhile, and they made me a deal today. It's a 1991 Custom 22 in royal blue with the bird inlays and stop tail. The top is really much more evenly flamed and 3D than the pic captures (varies a lot with the angle), but it's not marked as a "10 top". It's got a couple of minor dings but at least I won't be responsible for putting the first ones on it. I gotta say I'm liking this guitar a lot! Anyone ele got a PRS? How do you like it? Post some pics!

It was pretty prominently displayed, so I'm not sure why it wasn't snapped up. Maybe nobody wants the stop tail? Or maybe people who want a PRS want a new minty one with no little dingers on it? Personally, I like buying used to save the cash. I was never really into the PRS, but they've grown on me over time.

mine is exactly like yours. i love the tortise shell finish. i stripped the finish off the back of the neck on mine (it was dinged) and oiled the back of the neck and it is even better than it was!!!!GEAR:
some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!
some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!
and finally....
i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

The sustain on this thing is just silly! And it's versatile. The 5-way gives some great tones from the different PU combinations. It sounds awesome through both my Marshall and my old Fender Super Reverb.

I have a 2002 CU24 and I love the guitar. Two things struck me right off the bat when I bought it: (1)the amazing clean tones from the split-coil settings and (2)the worn-in playing feel from a new guitar.
Here's mine.

I really like the guitars alot (especially the double cut-looking shape and the tops), but the bridges and the price tag are a big turn off. I wouldn't spend that much money on an assembly line guitar when I could order a custom handmade for the same price.

Re: Just picked up a PRS - anyone else? PIC
i always loved them. i used to go to throughobred in tampa and play the PRS customs as much as they'd let me. i could never afford one (and in a way still can't i bought mine used). after playing around for ahile i discovered i liked the classic electric better than the custom, so i waited around until i found a CE24 that was close to the tiger eye finish (which ended up being the tortise shell). only thing i wish was different is that i want a sweet switch installed instead of the tone control.GEAR:
