  • Whatever Happened to Brawley guitars?

I remember playing a few at Mars Music and they seemed pretty decent. Anybody own or play them?
Don't forget the corn. It's nutritious, delicious, and ribbed for her pleasure.

Curious too. What's the story on them? There are three for sale in my home town for $325 each. That a good deal?

Korean made, I believe. Played one bass at a guitar store and was pretty impressed with the bang for the buck. Resale value is probably low.

Guitar Center has picked them up, at least around here. Our bassist bought a Brawley Artemis bass that is pretty nice, although he says it's a lot heavier than Spectors and LTDs that he owns. He used it at a gig last weekend, and it sounded good to me. Not sure about the guitars though - I hate the headstock design.

I thought Brawley was kaput. A store here carried them about a year ago. Around that time, I tried a few out. The store owner told me the brains behind Brawley left Fender and started his own company.

I played three different Brawleys. Two were jut okay, and one was really unbelievable. Possible had a better set-up job. I would've bought it if it had a doulbe-locking trem.
