The thing that bothers me about most schecters is that bling-bling abalone binding they have on the body and necks. It's on all the good models and I can't stand it, otherwise I would probably own a hellraiser.
Not all, the C-1 Classic, C-1 Plus and C-1 Exotic don't have abalone binding. Actually only a handful of their models have abalone or black pearl binding. C-1 Elite, S-1 Elite and the Hellraiser series.
well...he emailed me back today.
first of all, i didn't tell him about the german distributor thing you mentioned above.
having that said, he basically confirmed this. he said they won't get any more schecter guitars, because it takes FOREVER until the scandinavian distributor gets the guitars, and even then most of the time they don't receive every ordered guitar. in fact, he's now about to contact ESP for an endorsement deal after they finished the recording.
you know what i'm thinking? schecter europe sucks ASS.
so much for my schecter plans....thank you all for the replies, though.
i wonder what i should buy know....i'm leaning towards an ibanez rg550 or something, with a PU change. i don't want to spend 1k on a guitar....this is also why i'll have to go ebay.
Fragle, like I said, you should contact a U.S. seller and see if they'll ship to Europe. I bet you'd still save money on the guitar compared to the European price even after the high shipping cost. I don't know if the JCF's sponsors carry Schecters also, but I know that Drum City Guitarland does, and they usually have the hard-to-find ones like the Hellraiser.
DCGL can hook you up. I can't remember if Matt sells Schecters or not but I don't think he does. I dunno about Vwall either. But I've dealt with Jason from DCGL before and he's a great guy.
