  • Dillion guitars why so expensive?

I checked a few of these out in the past and they were junk. Why do they fetch such high money recently? Different factory or something? Did I just happen to catch a couple lemons?

They were made in Japan I believe at some point, (or maybe it was some models-I am likely wrong on that tho I think in hindsight) then S. Korea, then Vietnam. I priced some out on eBay, they don't seem to be any higher than they used to be. Considering people are paying 400.00 for Korean Epi's, they are putting themselves in that market.

Japan? really? I didin't know that. Those might be worth looking in to. The ones I tried were either Chinese or Vietnamese. I'm not exaggerating the ones I tried out looked pretty but were utter junk.
$400 for Epi's heck people are paying $800 for Zakk Epi's now.

I have a Dillion Flying V which is made in Korea. Dillion has/had a line called V-series whis designates Vietnam Series. These are the guitars you speak of. Utter Crap.
The current lineup is made in Korea. These are comparable to Korean Tokais and Epiphones.
I like mine and play it most every weekend.
