Ultimate would be a Les Paul Custom using encapsulated Mercury (known has one of the heaviest metals in existance). You would probably need to play it using a stand since it would extremely uncomfortable to play! The weight of the guitar would most likely be in the area of 85-90 lbs. I'd say either the Les Paul or Stratocaster. Blackmore may have been considered "hard rock," but he created just as heavy if not heavier music than Iommi.

Gibson Flying V for me, but one of the 70-early 80s models like Scott has is my personal pref. Accept/Scorps/Schenker/and a host of others. It just looks metal. All V's look metal, that's what makes them THE best in my book.

Jimmy Page used a tele for the first few Led Zeppelin albums. The Iron Maiden early days dvd is well worth it IMO. 3 great concerts (including live at the rainbow with Dianno singing). I cant wait for the part 2 of the history of Iron Maiden.
