I'm pretty sure it's a "Tropical era" Dean. (Tropical music bought the company from Dean when he got out of the biz.) The lower "horn" is much skinnier than original models. Here's my 81 E'Lite which shows the difference:
Lots of people crap on the Tropicals, but many of them are actually very nice. I prefer the V headstock on Deans, myself. The shrimpfork thing doesn't do it for me.
If it plays well and it's a good deal, grab it. This one looks way modded, though.

yeah they are, one of my best friends had a "shrimp fork" headstock ML back around 1989-1990 loaded with Dimarzios, and it was one solid guitar, wish I had bought it from him, that thing was one of the best playing Deans I've evr played, indentical to my old original USA '79 Dean Z that I foolishly traded for a bunch of EMG's a long time ago...
