• What color pup for Strat?

Just got an evil thought to spice up my '01 Teal Green Metallic Double Fat Strat. I love the super five-way switching, dig the '59 in the neck, but the Pearly Gates Plus bridge pup can sometimes be a little bright, and I'd prefer more gain and low end. Thinking of putting an Invader in for some thicker low end and mids (I had two Invaders in an old Kelly and liked them a lot). Should I go white or green? The pups now are Parchment, which is an off-white, that are only available on certain guitars, and I don't think Duncan will make this color in the Custom Shop, so regular white or green seem to be my best choice.

Also, would the '59 be too low in output paired up with the Invader? Should I go Full Shred in the neck or what?

What about a pair of zebras?
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

Oooof Joe not that green If you had a green that matched the paint better it would be cool...but that is a wayyyy different green .How about black, yeah I know that sounds boring but against those light colors I think it would look great.Anyway glad I could be of almost no help at all..I am here for ya man

The white one for sure. Don't GAYize that strat Joe I'm not a fan of colored pickups. I like white, black, creme, and the zebras.

LOL Yeah, that green does contrast a little too much with the lighter green of the guitar, huh? I don't think I really want all black for it. Maybe a regular zebra, or maybe a white/green zebra! Actually, DiMarzio makes a mint green for certain pups, maybe I could always see if Duncan might do a mint green, that would definitely work better with the guitar color. I do love the XN2, but the Invader does have more low end punch, so that's why I'm thinking of that.

I had a hardtail strat with a rosewood board for a while.

HH config, with dual Duncan Invaders

Sounded like trash

But, that was just my opinion.

LOL I just sold a black X2N to Jeri (GuitarsJB). It's a great pup, but it's on the brighter side, and I'm looking for more low end. I don't dig the black or zebra look for this guitar... black/white zebra might work well, but I'm not digging the creme look. I put a mint green switch tip and knobs on it recently that I had laying around, and that looks good as well, not sure if I can get mint green humbuckers from Duncan or not, but DiMarzio definitely won't do it... only single coils.
I may just take the PG+ and send it to Duncan so they can rewind it to hotter and warmer specs just so I can keep the parchment color.
