Just string your guitar up with 13s and tune it to B E A D F# B, and you'll get the idea.

      I prefer A D G C E A for a baritone tuning.

here's a recording i did with a danelectro baritone guitar i had. it had lipstick tube pickups, and was pretty damn cool. i didn't really play it ever, but this was a little thing i recorded with it. it's full of fuckups, but it gives you an idea what you can do with it sonically. there is one little guitar track in there, offering some distorted high end, but that's it.

i decided to name this little tune "walt" because that's what i named the guitar. for some reason, it reminded me of walter matthau. don't ask, i can't explain.

So, just for fun, I did this. I gotta say, that sound is really fucken tough. Can you hurt a neck doing this? I can see that if you put on 13's and tuned it to E, it would just turn your guitar neck into a pretzel. But, is it so bad tuned to B?

Bigger strings tuned down should be the same amount of tension on the neck as a regular set tuned to E. I'd keep an eye on it though.

Cool, I wanted to see what one would sound like too. Great tune Sully. Nice job. Man, that distorted guitar you put in there has mega overdrive-super gain. How did you do it! Wild!

all of that was recorded with my old-ass digitech RP10 straight into the recorder. if i remember correctly, the guitar was a bronze series warlock
