I read that the parent company suffered a class action law suit and GMP was a casualty. There was one attempt to resurrect the company, but it fell through. Some lost their custom ordered guitars that were in the final buffing stages. This information was backed by their former east coast sales rep on the Hamer board.

The juicers idea may be plausible, but is unsubstantiated.

There was a juicer company invovled. When I tried to buy the remaining stock at the GMP factory I was emailing and calling a guy at a company that ws not GMP. When I looked it up on the internet I found that they made juicers. I have the name on my work computer and I'll post it monday.

IIRC when looked them up on a register of LA area businesses they were listed as a machine shop.

I also can't vouch for this but I've heard that Glenn M. did the overwhelming majority of the build, paint, & finish work at GMP. I believe he was at Charvel back in the day then maybe BCR and then GMP from almost day one.
