For some reason...I find this guitar kind of attractive....I don't know why.

They had one at GC over Labor Day, sharp looker in person too...really catches your eye, but didn't strike me as a great player. I do not recall the price they had on it but it was about that or a little more.

i played one and while it looks cool on the wall it feels a bit odd to play a strat with a painted neck and fingerboard. kind of feels like a plastic toy a bit. i'd certainly play one before you bought it.

I played on here at the GC in Raleigh. It was a bad guitar. Poor fretwork and sounded pretty bad - no dynamics or sustain. Also, the finish felt particularly plastic-like. I think it looked cool as heck though.

I too tried one out at GC (San Diego). A non-playing friend with me said it looked like a toy. I agree with the comments above, not worth the asking price. They wanted about $800 originally, I couldn't get them lower than $699+tax.

Picked one up a GC and put it down in 3 seconds. Just did not play or feel anything like what I am into. Too much finish on everything sums it up.

the paint is horrible on these things. i played one at gc and the paint looked real thick and felt really sticky.

Agree 100%. I think their qc kinda sucks! I hope Jackson remains at arms length from the mother ship. I have never liked Fender guitars.
