    So where'd be a good place besides Ebay to score a Variax, and what's a good price (as a buyer, not a seller [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] ) for any given model?

      The only way other than used would be to watch the MF pages in the scratch and dent area.. the other thing to would be which model... they only offer bodies for 2 models ..

        I've had a couple of nights playing around on my Variax through my XT live and it is an awesome setup! It sounds very good through headphones, just hope it sounds as good through a PA.
        Newc, check local stores for 500's as they've been discontinued and should be discounted as such.
