Does anyone know what's the status of the new GMW design? I cannot believe that the year is almost over and still the new GMW line is not ready to be released.

I predict they will look like USA Charvels and have Yamaha RGX series headstocks. When they are released you will call me Kreskin.

I'm not that good, Econ. Lee can't even answer that question with any reliability. The official answer from Lee is November, but that doesn't seem plausible does it?

I,too, eagerly await the new line. I'm excited to see how these will turn out.

I think Lee must be using this time as some breathing space to clear out the backlog and start afresh - that's what he indicated, and I can't believe that many people have been placing orders without knowing the new headstock design.....

I said it a million times....I won't place an order until I see them myself and frankly, with all the used GMW's out there, no rush [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] My gut feeling is I won't like them anyway but you never know...I love Lee's work so I might be able to get over it if not too cool [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

I have my doubts about NAMM - I've spoken to Lee about that before and he says that it's not been worth the money and hassle for the return he's got.....

I would also not order one without seen the headstock design first. I wonder if it has been a year already since the initial announcement of the new GMW line sporting a new headstock design.

I was about to place an order when the headstock debacle took place. I haven't minded waiting to see what the new design is, but in the interim other things (Suhr, Charvel custom shop) have started to look good.

If the new guitars are well made, sound good, and don't look like total ass, I might still get one if funds are still available.
