Never saw Dave with an Iceman. I did see Dave and Adrian use Destroyers though.

'88 would be 7th Son tour. At that time Dave pretty much moved to an ESP Strat pretty much exclusiveley. I have been a Maiden freak since 1983. I have never seen or heard of Dave using an Iceman.

Dave had a few ESP strats (ice blue, cream, seafoam green) which were used on the Somewhere in Time and Seventh Son tours alongside his modified vintage Fenders. After that, he had 3 or 4 Jacksons (No Prayer era), and then it was off to Fender (Fear of the Dark to present), with at least one Wayne as well....

                    Get outta here LOL!

Pictures of his ESP's or Jacksons? I'd really like to see.

Did he change pickups from the PAF Pro / SuperD of the older days?

I just started watch the "Early Days" DVD and love it.

BTW My first heavy metal album ever was Number of the Beast.

me neither, and I'm a huge Maiden fan with a lot of shows under my belt going way back. I saw two shows from that 7th Son tour back then, as well as the Strangers on a Strange Tour. by then H was playing Jacksons and Dave was on the ESP strats. I've never seen H play an Iceman, nor Dave.

the original poster should post a pic, cause otherwise, we're not buying it!

Never heard of anyone in Maiden ever playing an Iceman either.

You guys didn't take enough drugs or drink enough if you can still remember what they played back then LOL! I have plenty of nights at the Forum and Irvine Meadows under my belt as well. Even recently as two years ago at Columbus, with the kids (6 & 4 at the time - the 8 year old had a birthday party so he missed out LOL!).

To me, Dave's original Blackie will always be the "Iron Maiden" strat, and Fender should have copied that when making the Iron Maiden model.

I don't believe Maiden every played an Iceman. Murray had a flametop Destroyer II and Smith played a red Destroyer.
