I always thought the Mockingbird had that "sexy but deadly" mystique to it's appearance, I love them, and have owned two that were excellent players (one early 80's NJ w/ a Dimarzio Megadrive and one 2000 NJ with SD Invaders), I remember my 80's NJ being balanced fairly well (stolen), but the 2000 model neck-dived terribly, so I sold it on Ebay about 3 years ago...if I find one that is balanced nicely and well-toned, I'm snapping it up as a keeper...

...some people hate the upper horn on them, and say it digs into their chest, but that doesn't bother me, as I also have a Parker P-44 that i love as well...

my biggest problem with my kelly right now is that the upper horn DOESNT dig into my chest, and when im sitting down, it slides off me cause it doesnt grip into my chest.. while my RG grips in my chest.. but I love the kelly back end.. its a never ending struggle ^^

Mocks are my favorite BC Rich...even still. There was a time where they were all I played. All USA neckthrus, some with Kahlers, some with Quads... and the occasional USA bolt on.

Mockingbirds are my favorite BC Riches. I love the 7 string ones with the little portholes on them, but the red one just above is killer as well. Someday....

the seagull was bernies design the eagle was transformed from the seagull, first pointless seagull, then double cutaway seagull into the eagle, the bich was Neal's, mock was Jonny gogo?, wave BCR employee who got no credit dont remember his Name but Neal does. warlock was Bernie takin the bich shape & reshaping it on graph paper or something silly like that. ironbird...who cares, stealth derringer, widow blackie, supposedly.

i sell one few day ago. It was a mockingbird made in USA, bolt on, class axe guitar, i think it's different from the actual mockingbird that seems more like a les paul, the mine was like a ke3, but i didn't like it at all! The shape it's great! The X Japan's guitarist used a fernandes mockingbird!

I have a 79 USA Mockingbird all maple that I bought new. It was my main guitar until I got my Jackson Soloist in 85.Also had a Eagle that was late 70's. BC Rich and Gibson Firebirds started my neck thru addiction.
