24 frets - great, 1 humbucker - great

But why is this thing so damn ugly ?? (btw. check the inlays on the esp japan site - they're even uglier than the guitar )

i think ibanez is gonna sue 'em for stealing their Pro-Line 2660 design (rhoads that looked exactly the same)

[/ QUOTE ]

Well it wasn't exactly the same, it was 22 frets, not 24. I don't thiunk they made a single-hum neckthrough version.
And besides, how would Ibanez sue ESP for stealing a shape that Ibanez stole from Jackson? If they won it would be an open-shut case for Jackson to sue Ibanez for the same thing. I'm sure Jackson would get more $ out of Ibanez than Ibanez would get from ESP. They don't want to open that can of worms, Ibanez started out making copies almost exclusively.

Most of their ripoff models aren't available in the US where the originals were from. That's why in Japan you can still get a Hetfield style explorer while in the US all you can get is the pointy kind.

So do I. I saw one yesterday online somewhere that had a glow-in-the-dark pinstripes and sawtooth inlays that was really cool, but I can't remember where now.

Ok this indeed will sell like hotcakes. A lot of unique features in this toy. Unfinished neck, glow-in-the-dark, one humbucker, one pot, the cutaway... I still hate the whole idea though, the guitar itself looks really childish. Why have that stupid stuff instead of some good MOP or Abalone?

I like it. But i wouldn't pay the money they are asking for. I could get my own custom, made exactly the same and cheaper.

You could even buy an RR from one of the japanese sites. They offer pretty much the same thing for alot cheaper.

I'm not sure if the USA one will have the glow in the dark inlays/pins. The one that TJ posted was the Japanese ESP one

Ok now I see it, the shape is the Japanese shape.

Hmm it will be a wise move to keep those features though. We will see.

Hey Lerx - sure they didn't make a H-S version - the 2660 was a 2 hum neck through - but the body shape is almost the same IIRC ( !! ) - the lower wing was also longer on the ibanez PL series than on a RR shape.
