When he had his Jacksons, he used the Jackson pickup with a Jackson preamp booster. Is he doing the same now with the HZs?

Boris, what I meant to say was that Laiho uses those HZ's so that's why the signature guitars come with HZ's.

Yes. He uses the PA-2 EMG boost, I believe.

yes, he has gainbooster, look at his guitars live, there's little switch for it

you know people keep saying it is ugly, but it doesnt look much different then a rhoads model, if it had jackson on the headstock i bet everyone would love it.

Me personaly i dont like the upside down sharks and only having one humbucker.

I don't think it's just because it isn't a Jackson. I personally don't like the cutaway (looks fugly on a RR body), those rather bulky pinstripes (if they can even be called pinstripes), the ESP headstock. And those inlays look a little plastic.

It's just an ugly guitar IMO, plain and simple. Could be an awesome player, but an ugly one. And I would feel just the same regardless of the logo on the headstock.

Ditto! To my eyes it looks like an imitation RR1 with some rather clumsy changes to prevent legal action!

if it was one solid color and didn't have the cutaway, it'd be an awesome guitar (but give me a reverse headstock...)

it is just modified ESP SV, he couldn't do anything else with ESP. that's how it is, like them or not. to me his jackson were much more classy
