Yes, I would think so. The 2770 is the neck through version of the 1770.

I remember the 1770. I never played one, but can someone explain the black and white push buttons instead of the 5 way switch? If you press the black button in does it turn white? Explain the switching please.

I had a couple of the low end early ones, and they blew chunks. The later ones were kick ass though..........
