That's some interesting stuff. I still don't think that playing a bass below a low-A or G# (or whatever note it is on bass clef--never did learn that properly) is going to sound good in an arrangement, even with good amplification. Just too much rumble--that's too close to the bottom range of human hearing to get good note definition and such. Definitely get the venue shaking, though! Club owners have to love that...
