As cool as they look the proof comes when you pick 'em up and plug 'em in. E.g., a friend who's a huge Jackson fan was over recently and played most of the GMPs. He'd always told me that he hated the GMP headstock, didn't care for sparkle finishes, *really* hated everything about Roxies, and, though they might be well-built and look cool, he just wasn't a big fan of GMPs in general. After a couple of hours playing the GMPs I handed him an old 80s Jackson Strat that was refinned and set up by GMW lately and was recommended to me by a JCF member as one of the best playing Jacksons he'd ever touched. My buddy, the complete Jackson nut, played it for a couple of minutes and said, "Well it's nice but it's certainly no GMP. If you decide to let that chartreuse sparkle Roxie go give me a call." And that, as Crankdaddy would say, is, "Rock as fuck!" [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

Ok ya got me Hammer, there might be a few snowbirds in the lot that went south for the winter but they'll probably make it back in time for this summer's family photo. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Hate 'em. Can't stand 'em. Awful guitars, the whole lot of 'em. If you see one be sure you don't buy it. Just drop me a line and let me know where it is so I can take it off the market and thereby keep some poor unsuspecting guitar player from shelling out his hard earned $$$ for a guitar he'll just hate. It's sort of a public service y'see ....
