Re: moser guitars
i own a import bastard v from the very first batch, great guitar. they have thick necks, though, just to warn you. it is about 2 inches longer than the f series bass a guy i used to jam with played, but i dont find it to be unwieldly or anything despite this. it is also very resonant.

Re: moser guitars
I've played a ton of Moser custom and import guitars.
Most of the customs have Neal's neck profile which is insanely thick.
The import necks are definitely thinner than Neal's custom necks. I don't recall them being uncomfortably thick though. The necks will be thicker than a Soloist neck. I believe the nut width is 1 11/16". They also don't have jumbo frets. They're more of a medium jumbo.
You could always ask Neal on his forum for the neck measurements. There's a guy named Paull (screenname Bichmaker) who is the import sales manager who could probably give more specs on the neck measurements.

Re: moser guitars
I used to have a Templar Scythe, but I got rid of it because I just can't get used to bolt-on.
I also own a BV Import. I really like it. The neck profile that is most close to is Gibson LP '50s type. The guitar plays great and sounds great. One of the better import guitar I have played. The paintwork could have been better(the bevels are done quite sloppy), but oh well...

That's a real shame considering what the imports cost. I've said before, I can't in any way justify paying over $1,000 for a Korean made guitar, when I can buy a USA made Jackson used for around $800-$900.

Re: moser guitars
I think the imports are overpriced. If you buy from an MCS dealer you'll get a better deal than buying straight from Neal. The guitars are made in small batches and since there's a lot of bevels/cuts, that drives the price up. Not saying I agree with it, but that's just how it is.

yeah, that's the same complaint i have with mine. the 3rd or 4th shipment looked like it was comprised mostly of BVi's without painted bevels, but i could be wrong.

Not to mention, MCS doesn't make hundreds of imports. bigger companies like jackson can charge less for imports because they make and sell so many, even if they only made 50 bucks profit off each guitar, their profits would be huge still. MCS needs to make more profit per guitar so the price is higher.
