    Re: PRS bridge pick ups

All this talk about PRS pickups got me in the mood to try some out. I went over to one of the local PRS dealers and played a Standard 22 and a Custom 22. I thought that both bridge pickups sounded very dull and muddy. The term Tim used before, "uninspired" summed them up the best.

I also played a McCarty hollowbody, the one with the piezo. Those pickups were exceptionally clear and articulate. But, that guitar is a whole other beast all together.

I totally dig my HFS in the bridge of my '90 Special!

Well, to be fair, both the Custom and Standard 22 I played yesterday had the Dragon II pickups in there. They were just pretty dull and lifeless. The maple top on the Custom didn't really help at all.
