Santa Comes Late...Jem BFP

I have been looking for one of these ever since I passed one up at Zapf's in Philly back in '92. Everytime I find one I'm either late or its been hacked up. Finally, I found one on Ebay tonight with a BIN of $1299...auction was only a few hours old.
I had a DSY Jem 777 back in the 80's and it was awesome guitar, if a bit goofy looking with all the colors. Finally, a Jem that I can potentially call a keeper. Here are the pics:

Wow. that one really does look nice...

I am not sure why, but I have seen a lot of REALLY beat JEMS (not played, just beat!)

I hope that it is as good as it looks!

Are all of the Jem/Ibanez cases lined like that?.....not taking away from the guitar, but that pink tolex(?) is just awful. The guitar looks really nice though.

I have to admit I don't know a lot about Ibanez but that one looks really cool. I like the inlays, I've never seen one like that in person. Is the fingerboard scalloped?

The last 4 frets are scalloped, yeah.

But not 1 through 20, just the ones that are a bit difficult to get a hold of sometimes.
