Sweet guitar Shawn! Hell, I like all of them. The floyd shelf looks like it's not quite long (not the sides, from front to back) enough for the nut, that is just the way Musikraft cuts their floyd shelf though, with a little hangover of the nut , correct?

BTW, how much money do you have tied up in that guitar? I'm thinking of assembling a my own replica also. I'm guessing you have at least $1000 tied up in it?

Yeah, that is the way the Floyd shelf is. It is sort of like how it would be if you had a standard neck modded for a a Floyd nut. 3 of my necks are like that , 2 aren't so I dunno whats up with that [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

As fars as what I paid it is probably close to that but I paid for the paint so that kinda puts it outta bargin range [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]. I don't build these projects to save money, I build them to get exactly what I want and take pride in doing it myself [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

on a side note, how would you compare the neck profile on the musikraft neck with a gmw strat head neck?
also i don't know if you have tried this yet but on my gmw camo guitar the neck is 1 3/4 and lee put on an r4 nut instead of the usuall r5, way more playable for me at least

Jon, I ordered that neck with a fat-ass neck profile,C Shape .900 @ the first Fret +- .010. I wasn't going for a Charvel feel like my GMW's are [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

My purple GMW has the 1 3/4 neck with the R4 on it too. On this project I'm going to leave the R3 nut as is, its perfect for me, its a narrower spacing but is no dramatic of a difference.
