Series 10 is the company that is now known as jackson, the name may have been bought and guitars may have been made after the arrivals of jacksons. I know of 2 ways to tell if its a jackson sort, either it will have a headstock resembling that of a charvel or a headstock that is a more or less curved shartooth jacson headstock.

I´m guessing that the Series 10´s might have been made in the same plant as the Charvettes. But I´m pretty certain there isn´t any further connection.

Series10 started out as Bentley (at least they were in the 70's and early 80's), and IIRC was made by either Hondo or whoever's doing the Samicks these days.
They specialized in making copies of every other brand, just like Ibanez and ESPee.

Interesting. I didn't know Samick made Samicks - learn something new every day around here

Actually I was referring to the "Parent Company" - the overseer that also makes Ibenhads, ESPee, Samick, Hondo, etc etc etc

Re: shark tooth Series 10 ..

Samick IS the parent company, they ghostbuild about 65-70% of all the worlds korean guitars for companies such as Epiphone, ESPee/LTDung, Ibanez, so on and so forth ... plus of course their own line

Either that´s your answer or I´m understanding the question wrong

Fascinating

Actually, the Samick comment above was a brain fart - somewhere I knew that Samick made Samicks, but I couldn't think of the name I shoulda been thinking of earlier - "Arbor".

That's another one that gets confused with Jackson because they did a ton of neckthrough stuff.

Correct

Ibenhad call theirs sharktooth because of the jagged double points. Jackson's inlays are called sharkfins.
Hondo, GTX, Series10, and the rest all used triangle inlays - they weren't curved like Jackson's.

Kind of interesting that it seems Ibanez copied Jackson's shark fin inlays with their shark tooth inlays, but ironically the Ibanez shark tooth look cooler. One of the few times the copy looks better than the original.

Series 10 guitars were pretty crappy, and yeah, they weren't affiliated with Jackson in any way.

My friend had one of these and I had and a similar superstrat (GTX?) that I got for $170 new when I started playing 15 yrs ago. Both were made out of plywood. Only one thing good about those guitars, for the money the finish you got was very good but, thasit... the guitar itself was useless for anything but, looks.
