  • Les paul and pc1 neck

Been considering gibson les paul, saw a 2003 classic for 1300 neck was thicker then my Jackson. Is the pc1 neck as thick as the les pauls? And is that a good price on the les paul?I still like Jackson better but how thick is the pc1 neck? Thanks.

Pretty darn close to a '59 style LP neck. I don't know if the Classic your are looking at has the '60's style (skinny) neck or not, but the PC1 is close to the LP '59 with the thicker neck. The PC1 is thicker than say a Soloist.

Classics have a '60 neck on them. That is why they are sort of a 1960 RI.

The classics have the thinnest necks out of all the gibsons, it is considered 60's slim tapered. If that neck was a little to thick for you or starting to be boardline thiick for you then you would not like the PC1 if it is like a normal 59 neck.
