Thats hilarious. The Vortex was a PV model back in the early 80s. I had one, it had hot pickups, Kahler flatmount, and a plastic fretboard. I wonder if PV noticed that the old ones can be bought for almost nothing, so why buy the new ones...............
I really wonder why they even fool with the cheap import copy market. all the Major manfacturers offer their own cheapie versions of their trademark guitars, Who's going to buy this stuff?
I hate the fact that it has that silly cutaway like the Ibanez ProLine V...that always turned me off. I do, however like the PV Rotor (Explorer lookin' thing)
well flame on fellas but I actually like that. It reminds me of a shortwing and everyone knows that I like the cutaway....(especially since I thought I designed it! )
I have the Vortex1 and Vortex2 (the V). At least they improved on the headstock shape with the new one! I like the Kahlers on these, and the polymer plastic fingerboard isn't as bad as you might think. It plays/sounds and looks pretty similar to ebony.
