Here's mine; 01 LP Std+, took off pup covers, and snapped on the amber tophats in favor of the gold speedknobs. Also the amber toggle switch (bad pic to show off finish though)



Love those Gibsons, but I'm do for a Jackson soon, I miss the Rhoads I ditched for the LP [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Thanks man.

Unscrewed the pickups from the body, the cover is soldered onto the back of the pickups, I was actualy able to just slice it off with a razorblade I had and it just came right off.

Then just clean off the waxy residue left over and its off.

I took them off for looks only, I think it looks much better, sound was not changed to my ears, though other people swear that it does change; mine didn't.

Again just done for looks, I also swapped out the gold speedknobs for amber tophats and changed the toggle switch to amber from white. Keeping all the original parts just for the heck of it.
