<font color="aqua">so that's "fitted" like that? That's not just taped off paint lines? If not, that's a great glue joint if the fit is correct..... </font>

Dave, that's a thought that didn't strike me... I just assumed that it was fitted like that. At least it looks cool!

Did anyone get pics of the front side of the guitars?

Goddamn that looks cool!! I want that V! I've got a Speedloader NJ Jr. V... the bad thing about it is that over here it's impossible to find strings!

Guess what? Word is from BCR that the speed loader is DEAD. That's right, you won't be seeing the speed loader trem on any of their guitars in the future.

That's what I had suspected/feared... I guess it won't be long until Floyd stops making it entirely... thus making strings totally impossible to get, and my guitar worthless! Feels good...

I wouldn't be too worried. FR has their own line of guitars with it. They had lots of em at NAMM

Re: BC Rich at NAMM?

Yeah I know, but are they any popular? I mean apart from BC's you don't see many brands using the Speedloader, sure a one-off here and there, like that Speedloader Soloist a couple of years ago.

I hate you're limited to one string brand only... because of the availability issue... sucks!!

Re: BC Rich at NAMM?

Well, I can't say I'm surprised. You produce a bridge that needs special strings, you're putting yourself out of the majority of the market to start with. I for one buy one brand of strings, and that's it. I'm not spending extra for a special type of string that isn't what I'm used to. I suspect the majority of people feel the same way. Let's face it, is changing strings THAT inconvenient?
Sleep!!, That's where I'm a viking!!

Re: BC Rich at NAMM?

Well it is kind of a pain in the ass with floyds. But damn, this was most definitely not the solution. I took one look at the Speedloader, saw you needed special strings and was like, screw that.

I don't see that its so much of an issue really. You have to accept that fact that if you want the extreme tuning stability of a locking trem, your gonna have to deal with a little more of a hassle to change the strings.

If you want the ease of string changes then you have to go with less tuning stability with a wilkinson or the like.

Or if you don't use a whammy bar that much (like me) you can get a string thru or fine tuning bridge like a schaller 475. All you need is locking tuners (in the case of the 475 I believe some people use a locking nut with that bridge).

Re: BC Rich at NAMM?

Yeah, I don't have any problem at all with changing strings on a Floyd, but I couldn't resist snagging this, cause it was cheap and really cool looking!
