My two best friends are my RG550s:

A 1987 RG550BK with a rosewood board. Dimarzios coming soon.

Yeah, the RG's are very nice. I have an RG3120TR and just this past week I scored a new RG1550 that was sitting neglected in a local store... I'm a sucker for black guitars with maple boards. I swapped out the the crappy stock pickups for a tone zone/PAF Pro combo, and it totally rips. That Edge Pro bridge is kinda neat too. I don't think the hardcore Ibanez guys like them, but I haven't run into any issues as of yet.

I have an old RS1010SL (Lukather sig.), which I played for years - doesn't stay in tune that well & I had the pickups changed for a Tone Zone & a Bareknuckle "Mule", but it's a beaut! I also recently got a PGM301, which plays really well (although I had to drop the centre pup down low so I didn't keep hitting it with my pick).

I have over 50 guitars. I play my rg550 90% of the time at gigs. It just feels right and has a great pickup configuration for all the sound I need.
