Check out this crazy vintage Schecter! :)

Never seen a trem like this either, I'm guessing guitar is from the early to mid 80s? No serial #, all gold hardware, gold 90 degree tuners, gold neckplate, even gold screws.

Any idea what the hell this is? Almost looks like an amputee strat the more I look at it.

Yeah, but it has a tele headstock, and the neck and body fit INCREDIBLY tightly. If someone did cut the top horn off, they stripped and refin'd the body perfectly too.

Maybe Tom Anderson built my guitar! lol

I have that trem on my Schecter proto. It was used alot in the mid 80s...........

Schecter parts guitars have no serial #'s.

You can tell because it was the proto used to design a series of guitars that were made in Japan afterwards, which werent parts guitars, thats how you tell............

Take the neck off, see whats written in the pocket and neck, they usually have dates............

Schecter parts guitars most of the time do not have dates in the neck pockets. The heel might have a marking. I had several Schecter parts guitars. They are difficult to ID.
That one doesn't look like it has the Monstertone pickups in it either. They had larger poles.

no dates, already pulled the neck off. So schecter would sell parts already with logos? Pickups look like dimarzios to me, at least from the hex style pole pieces. never seen anything like em though.

Yes, Schecter necks came logo'd or blank. Back in the day, many guitar shops had parts catalogs from Boogie, Mighty Mite, Chandler and Schecter and you could order the parts and build it yourself or the store would build it for you.
